He closed his eyes
trying to block the images
that came to haunt him
her beautiful smile
that was of the devil
her sweet words
laced with venom
her blissful arms
that burned his soul
Leave! His mind screamed
But she wouldn’t go
Hands outstretched
Saccharine lips inviting
Waiting to devour him
Again and again…

Yes, i saw the film "The Devil's Advocate" and you sort of 'bullseyed' the synopsis in the form of poetry. Good work, Sheri.

Allure has many names and wears many faces. Not all of them are well intentioned. As temptresses come dressed in gowns and skirts. This is another very well thought out presentation, this poem of your Sheri. I very much enjoyed it my dear friend. Love and to peace to you. Jon Michael
