Musing at the wrong time when thinking is no longer fashionable

©2010 M. Bennett Hooper

I can’t sit around and pretend that we live in normal times especially when history screams to me to get prepared and aid others in their preparation.
I refuse to be blinded by drunken illusions of normalcy as I sit surrounded by those who choose to be blind.
I can break bread with the devil and leave no crumbs behind.

I draw upon the strength of my creator.
Yours is the decision mine is the path.
Shake your heads or save your ass.
I can’t wait for you to come when too many are practicing with the gun.
You claim that you’re conscious and that’s a laugh when you can’t stand up to life’s challenges without personal cash.
Money is fine but it’s not enough if you don’t realize that you’re more than stuff.
Shirley Sherrod’s no thank you to a re-hire offer from the USDA’S Tom Vilsack spoke volumes to onlookers attempting to define integrity.

Shirley’s proven beyond a doubt in today’s time that the spirit of Harriet Tubman lives in an allegedly Black woman despite a knee jerk reaction from our sitting President who is pummeled on all sides for being too Black or not Black enough to assume the reins of micro-managing an oft times sea of bewildered staff members Vilsack who respond to criticism without investigation of the facts.
Oh say can you see what a mess everything seems to be.
It’s their fault certainly not mine I’m doing nothing is that not a crime.
