I wrote this poem many years ago as a token of appreciation to all who care about our environment. This writing stands alone and is not included in my time travel fantasy, The Starfish People.
-Leann Marshall

Body Blue
With liquid grace
Wears jewels of Sun and Moon
Upon her face
And lifts her
Soul
Her burning lover Earth
To embrace;

Beautiful, Body Blue
Her children sing the songs of
Her spirit name
And dance with graceful joy
A secret, Forever game.

And when  ragged cry
Of gull
Brings word of every silent Death
She draws them
Back to her,

And carves with restless hands
Upon the sands
To mourn in lonely echo
Her own Immortal voice.

Long lasting blue out of you and protecting the environment is necessary too. Immortal voices ought to say something to everyone who trashes our universe.
