Regrets that run so deeply

Our vanity of fears

Lie jumbled in reflections

As in a house of mirrors

Where hope is not a lightning bolt

That lights up all the night

But plays amongst the shadows

Til held captive in the light

Leann, sometimes it is amazing how our fears can eat at our souls but with that "glitter of hope" we shall see the light leading us to the end of the tunnel. A great write.

Very good. This one is a keeper as it says so much with very few wasted words. We cannot live in our past but if we believe and hope we can find a better future.

The vanity of our overwhelming regrets can sometimes darken out the light of hope. But there you have defined it, playing amongst the shadows awaiting our insights to see it. At least these are the suggestions that your excellent poem give to me...Jerry

Hope is the greatest and most powerful motivator, for it is hope that lasts through everything life hands us.

A short, but beautiful and powerful piece, Leann.
