Become a Fan

A Flower Song
By Leann Marshall

Cares not where she is planted, nor

What might there be to gain

Lives all her days in beauty

Visions love’s most gentle rains

Roots lie deep within the soil

Yet she stretches for the sky

And she nurtures those around her

With a grace ne’er to belie

As with everything held precious

No different then, is she:

Though no blossom lasts forever

All her love will ever Be.

Your poetry always has a nice rhythym to it. I think that with the well-crafted allegory you just outdid the traditional mother's day spelling poem: m is for, etc...............Jerry

The gift of a mother's love is something forever held special, wrapped in soft tissue, and stowed in it's own special place in our hearts. You captured so well the wonderful soul of this woman who was your mother and painted a perfect picture of your shared love with your words. hugs fee
