Plunging into the past like an ocean,
The current so strong it sweeps me away
Mind and soul own no achorage
But in the present a body will stay.
Seeing that child, the stars in her eyes
With the wind playing in her hair,
Mind not caring for anything but then,
Heart never leaded by one care,
Playing down in the alleyway
Until the orange sunset called her home
A wild imagination nurtured
So many identities the truth was unknown,
Clinging onto her mother's waist
In childish coyness when new faces appeared,
Hiding away from the limelight;
The only devilish thing that she feared,
Even then she clasped a pen
And searched the world for inspiration,
Unlocking the darkest parts of her mind
And recreating them with imagination,
Education was her escape
Where her mind was unlocked to reality
So young and yet she realised
Life wasn't what it was portrayed on TV,
Innocent excitement at simplicity;
The sun, the clouds, the stars, the moon
Who'd have thought this young girl
Would go and grow up so soon?
Who'd think her mind would develop?
An adult when she's just a teen.
Who'd think that one strange day
That young girl would turn out to be me?
