Never Find A Friend Like You

Looking back on the life I've lived,
On the tests and trials on my heart and soul
I always see one person in each memory
Who's faith in me hasn't started to unfold.
When I was walking on the "wrong" side
You jumped the fence to keep me company,
When they threw daggers at my heart
You stood in the way and shielded me,
When I hit rock bottom in my life
You reached up and pulled me from my fears,
When they shut us both out
You showed me they weren't worth my tears,
When I lost my path and stumbled
You picked me up and dusted me down again,
When I turned away from convention
I had no doubt you'd remain as my best friend.
I'll never find another person
That will weather the joy and the pain,
Someone who is so different
Yet mine and their souls are exactly the same,
I'll never find someone else
Who I can easily reveal my heart too
There's no doubt in my mind
That I'll never find another friend like you.

A true friend indeed! This poem can be read in more than one way. Both romantic and spiritual!

What a beautiful tribute to a friend! Doesn't it feel good to tell someone they mean this much to you? So often people don't say these words.
