MacFie Clan of America

Over the ages, they’ve come this way.
The Clans of Scotland, to the U.S.A.
Out of Colonsay, Glencoe, Ayr and Dundee

The lochs and firths of Ness and Clyde
From the Bens and Moors, they came away.
Bringing that strength, which is the Scottish way.
They settled here in this great land,
shaping this country with a caring hand.
From the shores of Maine to the Pacific Coast,
From Canada to the Florida Keys.
We are Scots!.
Family scattered, gathered now.
Proud Americans, to Scotland still true .
The MacFie Clan,
Red, White and Blue.

I don't know anything about the Macfie clan, but I know your poem is a very nice tribute to them. Anything written about Scotland seems to have that old world charm--as does your poem.
