Making a live being out of nature.
|
Ever so slowly,
reaching from the dark of night
Its talons scraping away the darkness
as it lifts itself upon the edge of day.
Quickly it springs from the horizon
spreading light to every corner.
It raises silently growling,
pouncing on each and every one.
Having its way, it crosses
to the other edge of day.
So glorious in hues of gold,
oranges, purples and reds.
Then as quickly as it sprung upon us
it slips beyond the edge of earth,
leaving us with the twinkling
of diamonds in the black of night.
