The job of a poet is to observe, listen, and document life...his own and the lives of others...this is my job description.

I am the poet
Speaker of the mind
Twisting the power of thought into words
My own literary masterpieces
created through your joys and pains
Interpreting your life through my eyes
A picture worth a thousand words
As you spill your guts - I listen
absorbing your sincerity and depicting it as senility
Literarily raping you of your innocence
Your story being placed among many in my little black book
Another notch in my pencil
Cause I've fucked your brains until you've cum
Your deepest and innermost thoughts are mine for the taking
And unless you read in between these lines
you'll never know that all this time
I was just faking

I am a poet
Possessing the ability to fantasize for those who can't
You give my poems to your lovers
and share tears
Leaving my pages damp
Expressing my political and social discontent
Analyzing and judging you
while I am yet to repent
Forging your experiences for my own deliriousness
An archeologist of mind and emotions
writing notes about the remains of your consciousness
I need you
Without you I am nothing
and have nothing without your emptiness and unhappiness
Without your joys and laughter
Because of your dependence on me
to verbalize what you want to see
I become on paper
the person you aim to be
I speak for you
and to you
I am the poet
We need each other
