The sun smiled down
upon a leaf dancing,
Offering illusions
This Magi of dreams,
Such pastoral peace
of which scholars speak,
A transmigration of spirit
as myth and folklore
become companions,
Trees to whisper so gentle
as butterflies ride
on wind's current
and the mind,
for one brief moment,
Hears Gabriel calling.
