memories are only a mime
               through the fog of time;
the past doesn't speak
               it only causes to weep

time erases the agony
               from conscious periphery;
 the past doesn't weep
               it only causes to seek

years are only a detour
               through weakening contours;
the past doesn't seek
               it only causes to peak

lives are weary collections
               of memorial causation;
the past doesn't peak
               it only causes to speak
