Red Wine

she came
to my room
to suck my blood

her hot breath
on my neck
her cold teeth
on my skin

my whimper
as she
penetrates me

my sigh
as I catch
my breath

my shiver
as I long
for her

she swallows
and we
become one

Sometimes love can be sweet surrender...and yet, more potent than a blood red wine. Great piece...well expressed.

A powerful description of sweet surrender and a thirsty longing, I'd say, Joe! Can so relate to your Biog - and you're right... you DO hide it well - like me, perhaps!? I think that a lot of my writing is in some way talking about the inner battle against low self-esteem ingrained in me from my preconception, I think!! But, hey Buddy, it's a battle worth fighting and winning becuase you, like I, have a right to be here and are VALUED and VALUABLE. Take it from me, that's true! Loved you visit. More of both, please!! Thank you, Kate :)))

Hi, Joe
I like this poem very much. However, one man told my girl that he was the author of this poem. I can not judge if that man is you or not. Are you willing to answer three questions:
1. Are you 165cm?
2. Do you wear glasses?
3. Are you a English teacher?

If really you, oh, my! If not, I will hit that guy!
Thanks!

I can't deny the sexuality behind this poem. I'm just not sure whether I consciously or unsciously intended it. Or perhaps I'm in denial over that. Either way, I think their has always been an element of sexuality to the concept of vampires. Not to mention that giving someone a hicky on their neck is a simulation of the vampire act. You're actually sucking your lover's blood to the surface of their skin. When you walk away, a mark remains indicating that you were there. It's just not two holes.
