And when the day is done,

I see the setting sun,

Sink down low.

 

And the moon begins to rise,

Washing in a tide of lies,

Lying on a bed next to you.

 

I wonder what to say,

Should I go or stay.

 

And then the day begins,

And everything’s just the same,

Like the day before.

 

Nothing ever changes,

But nothing stays the same.

 

And when you’re much older,

When you start to be slower,

No-one cares but you.

 

And when the lights go out,

And you’re alone in your world,

Does it frighten you?
