Just could not resist writing this song poem lyric.
Thought the idea was cute & sweet.
Surely some woman, somewhere must be able to relate to it.
This won a Director's Award in one of Paramount Songs Lyric writing Contest's
but I never had it converted into a demo

(Verse 1) Here comes Christie prancing down the street Walking all about the town everywhere Here comes Christie swishing down the street Spreading all her charm everywhere She's just an old fashioned woman Christie's an apple of a sweetie She's just a sweetheart of a woman Christie's an apple of a sweetie (Verse 2) When Christie shows up at a party The guys all follow her trail When Christie speaks up at a party The guys fall under her spell She's just an old fashioned woman Christie's an apple of a sweetie She's just a sweetheart of a woman Christie's an apple of a sweetie (Verse 3) All Christie has to do is walk about town Everyone is just raving over her All Christie has to do is show up in town Everyone is just gushing over her She's just an old fashioned woman Christie's an apple of a sweetie She's just a sweetheart of a woman Christie's an apple of a sweetie

A lovely lyrical ode for Christie, Stephen. She's quite the woman. Love and peace,

| I dont know why..but as I read this, the song that came into my head was 'Don't Bring Lulu' (don't know if you'll know it..'You can bring Rose with the turned up nose, but don't bring Lulu...etc. etc.)..Christie reminds me of Lulu..the same type of woman...the last line goes 'she'll come by herself!'...I will have to 'look up' this song now. This song/poem has an 'old fashioned' charm about it that I like...Certainly has a niche all of its own... Love, Diana. |
