I first tried writing this piece during the holidays of 06, and again in 07.
So recently I pulled it out and attempted to put the finishing touches on it.
They say Christmas is for the children.
But, also, Christmas is for everyone to enjoy and savor as memories throughout the long year until the next Christmas.
|
The sparkling lights on the Christmas Tree
Shining crystal ornaments on thee
Creating such a sparkling light
That is just a beautiful sight
Happy children help to decorate
The tree with so much glee
A happy sight to appreciate
For everyone to see
Christmas Time is a happy time
To see Christmas Tree lights
Christmas Time is a happy time
To see the faces of children shine

You remind me of my daughter's take on Christmas. She'd have it all year round. Lovely, apt, and timely thoughts, Stephen. Thank you. Love and peace,

Stephen,
Christmas is truly a celebration we all love no matter our faith.
Great poem for this season of sharing.

| Christmas is for all ages. It is to celebrat the birth of Christ also and that even a child can understand. The Christmas story must be told over and over again and when the holidays come it is easier to see what the children need to enjoy in their young life also. At 64 I sometimes act like a child and see through a child's eyes too. Yes, Christmas is for everyone to be happy and content throughout the coming year too. |
