Inspired by two women I know, who recently got married in a civil partnership. In celebration of commitment and love.
(Yes, and I realise that the title may be slightly cheesy.) |

Married on Thursday,
One now for life.
Nothing else matters,
Except connection of love.
People will stare,
With fingers wagging.
Their sounds - jeers,
And hateful nagging.
But they don't know,
Those hearts of rock.
Can't see how,
And refuse to look.
Don't you fret,
For doing no wrong.
You're making a stand,
Commited for so long.
So this is to you,
From this day until death.
The celebration is you two,
And the act of love.

I join in the celebration, Rosalind. It was said as long ago as
BC something by Virgil that Love conquers all. - gene. |
