Photo compliments of Ahna

Moonwalk

In dark of night

a sleepless slumber

draws me to my knees…

Searching options--

Seeking answers--

Longing for elucidation…

When dreams of heaven

seem much simpler

than wandering this misty trail

Wanting…Wishing

to go home

where clouds don’t hide the resolution.

As I pray,

a window opens…

spilling light from heaven above

and Light

illuminates the walkway--

beckoning me to come…

to take the path

along the moonwalk,

past the comets and the stars

to where the place

of peace and answers

shines for all to see.

In dark of night

when slumber hides

from tired querying eyes,

He will show us

heaven’s doorway

and light the path to home.

Follow your muse Cryssa, and you will get there. I am happy you are here to show us how to write these misty morning moonlit metaphors making me mainly more melancholy.

I nearly wish I had reviewed this one before anyone else, Cryssa, so that I could have said what the others said, only first. Perhaps Richard captures my first reaction the best. Interesting how you have a poem here that is obvious and subtle all at the same time...Jerry

Love the surreal quality of this, Cyrssa, so befitting of nightful wakefulness and wandering... It also ties in with the blurry edges of the reality of faith as it impacts upon our consciousness, drawing us up and in. A beautiful analogy. TY Kate xx
