So Tired

So tired,
a place just short of exhaustion;
where arms stop flailing,
and brain stops wailing.

So tired,
a place where body gives in;
where slumber takes over
and dreams begin.

So tired,
all else becomes a blur;
when sight goes awry
and sandman does whir.

So tired,
the bed becomes a friend,
in whose arms
the restful relationship begins.
