The End of Somewhere

My boyfriend Dean asked me to move to the island with him this fall or winter, and although I'm going because I know my future lies with him, and because all the crap that's been going on here makes the prospect of getting away from this town very appealing, the thought of leaving my best friend is really bothering me, because I won't see her nearly as often. *sigh*...

Colours turn to black and white
And everybody's asking why
None of this makes any sense
There's too much hurt and we're all bent
Paused at the end of somewhere
And the beginning of nowhere

I've had it with this crazy life
I need to get away from mine
And start all over again

So if I had to say goodbye
Could you forgive me for leaving?

You know it's what I need

Dreams, they fade to shades of gray
As everyone falls down to pray
You could say that it's unfair
But that won't get you anywhere
I'm standing at the threshold now
I've gotta go so tell me how

I can't see myself without you
But I'm scratching at these walls
Like a mouse in a cage

So I've gotta be somewhere new
He's taking me there by the hand

You know that's what I need

Moonlit Angel ~ Heartbeats Penned

Tough choice, it is. But miles will never separate true friends. I thought it would with my child hood best friend when I left. Years later -- we're as close as sisters still ;) Keep the faith -- it's the only thing you can take with you ;)

Warm Love

(*PS -- GOOD poem, too!*)
