| Oh, great ode to tea, the amber gold that still holds its own against the coffee community (so many communities!) This poem whets my whistle as I am the typical tea-drinking Briton (with a drop of the Irish!) Is Irish tea like an Irish coffee? Mmm! |

I love my tea, but never have I explored the depths of meaning as you have presented in this magnificent poem. I need to keep a copy of this to read while I enjoy my next savory cup.

I love the symbolism and gentleness of this poem. If it were a melody--it would be so relaxing and reassuring.
I love reading your poems!

| Beautiful, uplifting, courageous. I am especially moved by the phrase,'who subtly pours moments of innocence and kindness into your loving cup'. A wonderful insight into the art of living in the moment, taking sustenance from the wholeness and purity of NOW, whatever the activity. A simple ceremony becomes an act of reverence and devotion. I look forward to reading more of your work. john |

I very much enjoyed this poem which expresses the gist and the delicacy of an every-day ceremony which is much more than that, as we both know. This is the work of a great artist and a sensitive and intensely aware person.
Eid mubarak to you too, eventhough a bit belated.

Beautiful, Rafika,
Japanese culture intrigues me. My Daddy was stationed in northern Japan during the Korean War; he brought me a book about the culture. FASCINATING. I love how disciplined they are, how determined. And I love the longing in these lines--well done!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. |
