For a Moment

For a moment
I stepped back
behind that sunset
where shadows drifted,
tethered
to an ancient pain.
They floated in twilight
where I lingered not,
this trip.

I slipped back,
unnoticed,
over the sunrise
where promise
replaced the pain.

Very well written, Pam: riddled with emotion as well as a sense of control over your destiny. I share your feelings of having picked up a stone of wisdom here and there and eagerly share. Visit me sometime.

Excellent Pam! "For a Moment" is quite vivid in description even those it has few words. You've captured the essence of stealing a peep! Dolores
