The Light in a Little Girl's Smile
>> View all 3
Weary sorrow drips
like blood, staining all that it touches.
Acidic tears burn
the flesh off your hollowed-out bones.
Happiness now slips
through fingers falling off your hands.
Raging fire scalds
beneath the surface of your skin,
Eating you alive,
bitter poison in your lonely soul.
Freezing chill draining
your strength, joy, and happy energy.
Confused, you're pushing
treasures down icy-flamed abysses.
Demanding love back
from hate rammed down innocent throats.
Eyes blinded, deceived
by lies incarnate in hatred dark.
Living death corrupts
innocence in your tensed muscles.
Light pierces darkness
melting stone, ice, angry fortresses.
Truth destroys deceit,
flooding brokenness with healing.
