written within days of the event

This world we are living in,
Spins us, twisting ,revolving around in time.
Fast Forward, Reverse, Instant Replay,
Technology grinds our minds.

There came one day ,early last September,
Twisted metal falling, it all came crashing down.
Terrorism and Twin Towers on Wall Street,
Human debris in pieces on the ground.

Lives disrupted,hearts dismembered,
Mesmerized, all we could do was cry.
How many of them could we save?
How many days digging have crept by?

I'll never forget the Eleventh Morn,
the month, that day, the hour,
As a Giant we lay sleeping, terrorists
attacked, summoning Our Heroes to be born.

Newspaper coverage, Mayor Giuliani,
Burning images, crashing through space & time,
I swear I Never will forget the day,
The World stopped spinning on a Dime.

I love New York, and I'm always going to carry that memory. Well described work from someone who truly felt the pain.
