oh,that they shine....

just as the day closes
from blue to starry skies
so are the dreams born
as i softly close my eyes,

i see beyond the flesh
deep to what it may hold
of all that hope can be
the pure essence of soul,

here then i am free
the chance i have to forget
what this life and world has done
now i have no regret,

all i loved and held
forever now to be mine
that the night not slip away
to the simple meaning of time.
