The Rainbow

Behind the fury of the rain, lies the beauty of the rainbow. No matter how bleak the clouds, we must look beneath it to see the hope of the sun.

 It was a dark morning.
So black and blue and grey.
I looked out the window,
Hoping to catch the glimpse of sunshine.
All the Streets went a-mourning.
The rain showed no mercy, as it poured down it's fury.
No one was in a hurry,  to fight this sudden intruder,
That kept all a-prisoner.
Helplessly we gazed, as the streets were flooded.
No one dared to withstand the fury of the flood.
Then suddenly, it appeared with indescribable beauty.
In majesty it displayed the elegance of it's colors,
All across the Heavens.
Oh, what a beautiful sight that kept be in awestruck wonder !
It sure was there to remind me,
To look beyond the clouds.
For deep beneath  the black clouds, lies the beauty
Of the Rainbow.

Beautiful. Flood and grey clouds may shake some people. However, just a minute more and the sun will smile.

The lesson is that all gloomy days will go away and the sun will shine--in life too. We can look to nature and the sun and the clouds and see that life mimics them from day to day.

Hi, Sukky!
I love this reminder of the rainbow beneath the black clouds. I find it so true in my life; it is the hardest trials that seem to bring me closer to my Lord.
Good writing--thanks for sharing!

Connie
