Sun-Filled Beam (In Memory of Jill's Dad)

I wrote this poem in memory of Jill's Dad. I dedicate this poem to Jill and request that you check out her website, via the link posted below.

Jill, may your mom and you always find Al's memory to be your "beam of sunshine and light." My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

A sun-filled beam stretched ‘cross the sky
And reached into your heart
Where it shall rest, as days go by
A bond to never part
The memories you hold inside
Will always guide your way
Your Dad may be far from your side
But, in your heart, he’ll stay

His spirit has embraced the clouds
But, he is always near
Each day you shared, you made him proud
This much was crystal clear
Though he is gone, I know he smiles
Upon each poem you write
Now free from all his earthly trials
Your soul’s still in his sight

A sun-filled beam stretched ‘cross the blue
When words were hard to find
Restoring the insight in you
Bringing peace to your mind
You found the strength to write once more
Although, you were quite sad
The sun-filled beam found at your door
Came from your loving Dad

A beautiful and touching tribute to one so dear to your sweetheart. Jill is lucky to have you...especially during this rough time...helping her to find the sun-filled lining.

Nate, a beautiful up-lifting poem for Jill - Jill I'm so sorry about your loss and sorry to have heard this today. Nate, has given you some wonderful advice here and I'm sure it has soothed some of the pain you are feeling. Your writings will always be encouraged by him, so, as you write know its him nudging you to keep it up. My prayers are with you dear Jill.

This is telling her his spirit will always be with her, an I agree on that. I need to know that my hubby Tom's spirit is always with me too, and you said it the way that I know it is true. Your soul's still in his sight, that has comforted me some also and I am sure it did Jill. Sorry for her loss, but we have to go on living and writing and sharing. God Bless You and Jill too.

Nate,
This is beautiful and my tears are streaming. I have no doubt that Dad would have wanted me to keep writing. There weren't many things in this world that brought him greater joy than my poems and my successes, as the result of them. He's always with me, he will always be with me, and from here forward, he'll be the driving inspiration behind everything I do.

I know he'd be proud of you for looking out for me, too.
Thank you, dear,
Jill
