Hug And Hold

Express your love while you still can...

Hug and hold: essence of life.

Or, so I'm told.

Doesn't matter if you're young

or old or somewhere in between.

You really need to hug and hold.

~

When you die...(and you will die)

it won't matter what you have

inside your purse or billfold.

'Cause true love won't be

bought or sold. (though lust will)

Truth be told?  Not one mortal

wants to live in solitary.

No, not really.

Without true friends,

to hug and hold, life waxes

Dreary-

So, hug and hold.

~

No.   Don't wait  until

that funeral,

Someone else's

...or your own.

Then it's too late.

Be. Bold. Now.  Go now!

Hug and hold.
