Purple Cloud

Children often interpret things that happen in their lives. This is based on my Grandma McClure's girlhood recollection...

She said she saw a purple cloud

rolling across the sky.

Her heart then raced her home

where she learned the reason why:

Grandma had just died.

In her child's mind that purple cloud

stole her grandma away- - -

And she figured out that

in some things,

grown-ups do not have a say.

Little girl's still standing there.

In that field, waving.

Good bye Grandma.
