What is the chief end of Man?

L O R D  of poets

Some claim, some muse
inspired them,
chose carefully each word,
with which to utter audibly
thoughts once before unheard.
~
But Lord, I'll credit You:
Master, translator, Friend.
For You  have been my way with words,
O Beginning without End.
~
Lord, You are my by line ;
bird-whisper in my ear.
Forbid that I should glory in
What's Yours while I am here
~
Rather, use, each borrowed breath
to bid all mortals yield,
to Thee, Eternal, seated Christ;
For Thee, all Heaven kneels.

Breathtaking in its depth of wisdom and glory to God. What a great reminder to every believing poet to give God the praise and glory for every word He gives us!
This is one for my library, or maybe to copy and keep right on my desk where I can read it often. Thanks for being faithful and writing this.

Zach,

It's so true. Your poetic talent is a gift, that only God can give.
Sometimes we have certain talents,not just poetry, that are gifts from God, but we tend to forget.
