This impathetic poem was written for a friend as an outlet for guilt for loving outside of a failed relationship.

Cry not for love neglected
That fades despite love's pleas
Cry not when touch rejected
For years you cried in need

Cry not with memories stolen
Wishing things once more would be
Cry not with red eyes swollen
For those that would not see

Cry not for selfish pleading
From him who did ignore
Cry not for his depleting
The love as known before

Cry not in hopes that they might change
For change shall quickly flee
Cry not that want can't rearrange
How others are to be

Cry not for selfish feelings
When a loving one you find
Cry not your heart is healing
Leave hurt of love behind

Cry not guilt's tears for true love found
When forever love they give
Cry not when gentle arms surround
Embrace this love and live

You are great at expressing your feelings, now always an easy thing to do. You say the things so many of us wish that we could do.

I think that everyone can relate to this poem, and we have all been hurt in the past. I love your choice of words in this poems, especially when you wrote, "Cry not for selfish feelings, when a loving one you find. Cry not your heart is healing,
leaving hurt of love behind." Yet, your poem has brought me a light of hope. Your words are very comforting in this poem. Stop into my den when you have a chance, and let me know what you think of my work.

I too found a message of hope at the ending. Imaginary writes of love lost and found in another place is sharing and eduring romance. I am quite a romantic at heart.

Life is nothing without the mutltitude of emotions that carry us forward. Your poem punctuates this point so very well.

A thoughtful write. Keep pen to paper.
