Sometimes people get close to each other just talking online but know that an internet relationshipsis not possible and people need more.

Copyright, Ed J. 2008

We see but our reflection
On waters calm and still
With waters touch, your vision breaks
This frailty brings a chill

As such I cannot touch you
Nor, see your sparkling eyes
I cannot feel your hand in mine
My love a dream unwise

I cannot hold you close to me
And cuddle close aside
I cannot feel your beating heart
To warm my heart inside

I cannot share your precious smiles
Or wipe away your tears
I cannot give you comfort
Or help confront your fears

Find he that can reflect with you
And not reflections seen
Then look upon a silent lake
I'll smile, when found your dreams

This is a beautiful poem given to a woman you must have met online. In fact I have an idea she is married but unhappily and you wish her the best in finding what she needs.

Ah yes, life on the internet can and sometimes is so impersonable. Yet, you can sometimes learn more about a person when there is a smoke screen of sorts in between. Fascinating piece....

Be safe,
