Broken love.Why?

Who knows

where  love goes

to die

who knows why

to mend

should never offend

as the angels cry

will we not

reason how

to runite

once again

our hearts mend

I'll knock

upon your door

will you grant

me entrance

that we may

love again

our broken love

now mend

I am familiar with these bittersweet sentiments that are part and parcel of humankind's foible when it comes to love it seems. Thank you, my friend. Love and best wishes to you,

Jon, this poem is so real because I know with myself, when my love dies it's gone forever, regardless how I try to re-capture that feeling and love. Yes, we wonder where love goes...the "love" is gone but we still have feelings and care but "love" is hard to renew once it's gone. A great write.
