Well done. I knew you were from the N.E. and wondered how you found your way to a very, very small town in north Alabama...Only known of by me because I have relatives who live live near there, in Boaz.

With paper as your canvas you masterfully applied the visual and sensory impressions with picturesque words placing your readers at the table with your viewing the beauty that abounds in upper NY...now you need to actually paint this scene Jon Michael...brilliant poem.
peace and love dear friend, Carole~ |

| This reads like a modern-day painting of pastoral idylls and scenes of utopia from the Romantics. All that's missing is Bacchus and wood-nymphs, though perhaps they are not far away - especially in the light of the mood of satisfaction and contentment conjured for us here. It certainly DOES seem to be promising a season of mists and mellow fruitfulness both sides of The Pond this year. I like the way you paint such lushness onto a canvas of the everyday, with mention of the Underground Eggplant Company! Matter-of-fact and mystical intertwined. xx |

"Fall is crafting, molding this land's will.." (how good that is!)
and you, Jon, have crafted and moulded and painted all the colours of the time and sat, too, in admiration of Nature's handiwork with "a sated belly and nature's art exposition"
The mood, the words, the attitude and the observations are serene and quite splendid.
