Impression of my areas first snow of the season.

dead land now resurrected
in puritanical veil of white
providence sent in the silence

of black December night's rein
sparkle shine like lights divine
days of hibernating life forms
erased at the master's hand

a barren waste expunged
Persian cotton flows in drifts
piled high a will of its own
noble landscape fit for kings
pristine with class beyond
clinical styles of the artless
with saintly patience built
one tumbling drifting flake
upon the next in a collage
rendering isolation at fireside
an edict none dare tamper
Goya, Monet ushered away
December's brush renders all
in coveted white lush

Sounds like a fresh start. I like how you tied the color of the snow to feelings or ideas. Hugs,

Pristine flow of consciousness here, Jon. Love the drift, the float and fall of ideas that blend and merge to blur the mental landscapes. Definitely white lush here and not slush... I LOVE that contrast: captures the moment of revelation and inspiration wonderfully - before the images melt away... xx

Thank you, Jon. Your poetic description of December's first
snowfall to blanket our Eastern shores makes it a beautiful way
to welcome Christmas. You do marvelous things with your pen.
Snow, snow, snow, and more to come before this night is done.
A grateful fan, gene.
