This is extraordinarily clever, Jon, as so intricately you take us into the folds of the den and of life.
My favorite lines...
"life and living have ebbed from the den
it is the haunt for dreams and deprivation"
Many Blessings,

An interesting vision that completes mine. It is made of memories that I couldn't have shared. Your contained, yet expressive composition gives an impression of the changing time in the den.

| Great job at showing the sadness and dust in this den that held a life over many years, once full of hope and promise, not resting in the memories of it all. Excellent word choice and descriptions. Blessings, Jon. |

This is intense and penetrating writing, Jon,
writing of passion and definte view...your sub-line
'Archives of a room' intrigues and provokes, the whole poem
stirs and demands attention and attention, My Friend,
i give it in whole.

AD is getting moldy? Seriously, this poem evokes images of searches through old buildings trying to read the handwriting on their walls, aged but still revealing secrets. An enchanting journey into our not too distant past.
About 2003, my brother took my mother through her childhood farmhouse until she left to get married in 1942. It was rented for a while until my grandparents sold it about 1945. Though vacant for many years, the old place still contained memories of my childhood. Remarkable with the harshness of Wisconsin winters on vacant property.

I hope not but poets oft spill out the hurt in life as well as the mirth and the shadows of assassins lay in wait for the right moment. Poignant write.
