This poem is dedicated to a very special Authors Den lady.

"she intrigues me"
she beams intrigue from within.....chocolate eyes
confidence examines from a faintly ....arched brow
she prowls hidden 'neath a festive peacock dance
rehearsed and honed an honest asset feminine art form
ordained to diminish massif or formal affronts
with a glassblower's deftness she moulds opinion
scripts relationships with poise and indelible ink
she's a vamp she's a moral aficionado she's  a curio
not the churlish ilk of bleach blond and artificial silk
a circuit rider whenever controversy and prosperity
walk the oracles path she is seated among the guests
competently she marginalizes capable opponents
oh how she can flash those chocolate eyes at you
a hummingbird masterfully flitting-----one to the next
cross pollinating context fact and fiction adroitly
a mistress holding sway with a mystics aura
lust for her...she expects and accepts nothing less
a coliseum survivors toga adorns her stamina
drama and emoting she plies at boundary's edge
a line she walks like a high wire professional
chocolate eyes flash at me......she intrigues me

Deliciously mysterious, Jon. Love the comparison of her eyes to the hummingbird. That visual came alive! You've made her sound intense, interesting, and seductive. You make us want to know her too. Enjoyed...mucho:)

Amazing dedication. If I was to take a guess I would think it would be the highly amazing Kate Burnside. Even if not, blimey, you should meet the stunning woman. Yet I can't think of anyone else who reaches such heights of admiration.

intoxicating, dangerous, delightful... she certainly has brought the deftest of articulation to your pen which dances her homage across the page. Strength and daintiness in equal measure, her high-wire captivation is enthralling. We as readers are greatly blessed by this lady's power to intrigue you; the kinetic energy that transmits from your words is immense! Compelling and passionate... DELICIOUS! :)) xx

You have written a riddle for us! It is a beautifully lovely image you paint of someone chocolate eyed here in our midst, an exquisite poem Jon...
Who, Hmmmm?

"With a glassblower's deftness." The image is immediate and clear.
Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl" dosen't hold a clandle to this.
Although this might be a bit harder to put to music, it has a music of it's own. Brown eyes are a wonder of nature for sure. Dark and mysterious, or light brown and expressive, lovely they are.
Happy New Year, Jon......
