 Inevitable

The weather is cooling

A new winter looms

There is no ruling

grey banks of gloom

Once lush colored branch

Now sticks out so bare

These may be our last chance

To store up and prepare

Yes, winter is near

There is no doubt

Ice will be sheer

And white will show out

Thanksgiving and Christmas

And New Year’s Day

Will celebrate with us

And do us till May

This rocks along with an upbeat swing and an energy that takes stock of the times and revels in their blessings with a clear-eyed view. All the best until May, in that case! :) xx

Yep we get all the seasons and I wouldn't have it any other way. Winter with its shudders, Spring with its rebirth. Summer with its heat and flowers, and Fall when beauty ends.

It's a good thing we have these holidays that lead up to the new year, otherwise the winter would be even longer. Nature is much more prepared for it than we are.
