Till Then

Patience is a virtue.

Trust should not compete.

The author of that statement

Overlooked the simple treat

Of being in your presence, basking in your heat.

Throw caution aside.

Stop making sense.

Abandon pride.

Get off the fence.

No…

Obligation stakes it’ claim.

We'll be together when…

No pain, no gain…

We can hang on …till then.

It leaves me cold and wanting;

Feeling strangely come apart.

Another battle wages.

Another vain attempt to start,

Believing again that I can hush my eager heart.

I think that you are worthy

Of the faith I keep in you.

You never gave me reason

To doubt that you’d come through,

But patience is a virtue and time is fickle too.

Throw caution aside.

Stop making sense.

Abandon pride.

Get off the fence.

No…

Obligation stakes it’ claim.

We'll be together when…

No pain, no gain…

We can hang on …till then

Arguing with patience

Is like cutting off your feet

To spite the path you’ve taken.

It makes life incomplete.

Patience is a virtue that doesn’t know defeat.
