Prayer for the World
Lord, I feel so helpless as this big ol’ world spins out of controlBut I know compared to mine it has a very old, old soul.In my limited view as a small passenger on this spinning orbIt’s hard to comprehend that our troubles have been as bad or worse before.
I think of the Fall of Rome and Genghis Khan, Hannibal and McArthurSo many heroes throughout history have prevailed when things could not have looked darker.
The Jews were persecuted past misery, not only by Hitler but when Jesus went to Calgary.Sure, history says it was Jews who condemned him, yes or no, it was his destiny.
Thank you, Jesus.
Times have been unbearably bleak countless times in the past.
And I am not saying at all that this time is anything less than frighteningly bad.
But I think we are possibly forgetting one very important task.
Brothers and sisters, lots of us pray, but have we joined together to ask?
Dear Lord, my Savior and my Salvation. I thank You for your blessings.
I pray tonight, and in the morning and throughout the day, with pressing
Concerns for this world, my country, my family and myself; people I know and don’t.
Please, Lord, You who can do all, help me find others to share this prayer just so
Our voices can lift, like music to Your ears and You can hear our trust in You.
Until, combined our heartfelt plea for all of us to be safe and secure, our faith shows true .
Lord, help me to take action where I can and not give up the smaller fight
So that I may enable those who set the stage for all of us to do what’s right.

Let us pray...
Lord, we love you and we love mankind. We know we are not doomed.
Lord, we just need to remember, to trust and lean on You.
Lord, may we lean together and begin to speak as one in a tribute to You, who
Can rise over politics and corruption, selfishness, manipulative greed,
You can show us the way. Help us find millions to help us chant Your Creed!
Thank you, Lord, Amen.
