how i am faring lately...

author's note: i have been at my job for over four years, and i am still not making what i should be. i am barely making above minimum wage, and i have proven time and time again to be a hard and dedicated worker. sis does get more than me, but she isn't making nearly as much as she should be at her job, and she is treated worse than i am, and it really bothers me.

work hard, trying to make a buck,
pay my bills, try to change our luck.

work for low pay, not making much,
feel the sting of life's taunting touch.

i do my job, i do it well,
all i get is a lot of hell.

boss doesn't care, what is the use?
i'm feeling low, sad, and abused.

sis works hard, too, she is in pain;
she feels worthless, tears come again.

boss treats her bad, he doesn't care,
we both feel "why try? do we dare?"

sis is wore out, tired to the core,
i am angry, can't take much more.

what do we do? there seems no end,
on God we feel we can't depend.

Please pray for us, I ask today,
I feel hopeless, and...I can't pray.

This is very sad.
I feel sorry for you.
Surely praying is a good thing to get the negative feelings out of your heart and head - but first of all I would start looking for a new job. Your boss has no right to treat you this way. Leave him and get yourself something better, where you working input is appreciated.

I was down to the wire again the other night, and then a long life friend from NZ rang me, and I know she was praying for me too, it helped trememdously.

He knows what we need, before we even ask HIM, that's the wonder of HIM.

pray, and hope that both of you will NEVER feel like you need to have a job--there are so many possibilities out there to do what you dream of doing. Just knock, it's never easy. And even if it means moving to a new area, in the end, this is the only earthly life we have and someone out there (like me) appreciates you very much. God allows us to endure, but will never put more on us than we can bear. If it hurts bad enough, eventually, something has GOT to give. So my prayer for you and your sister, Karen, is this:

"Dear God, please soften the heart of this boss, or provide a way for the mountain of pain to be removed. In Jesus name, Amen!"

Honest and so true picture of reality. Probably you are by far too nice. Having a good job in a service company means to be shrewd and evil. See everything as a bad joke, and don't give your best for these monkeys in paper monkey shops. You have to kick the butts of those who won't ever be your friends anyhow. Bad managers and accountants smile only when put under fire. So, if you want to have a career, be a little evil. Remember, in bad service companies, the assholes fly high. Franz

Hi my dear Karen.
Ever heard- take this job and shove it?
That is what you and sis will be doing soon. I don't think I have ever given inspirational messages on this site before but it sounds like you need guidance- now-. I see a lot of creativity coming through both you and your sisters hands. Using flowers. You will do very well. You will find the help you need to get this business started. It will be very successful, both financially and emotionally. You need to start looking into your options. There is help for you and sis. Take charge and go after what you want. God can put things in front of you, but you must use your will to go after things that will make your life better.
Most of all, you must never lose sight of the fact that God will get you through any situation, if you have faith and don't give up on him.
Don't ever lose faith and most of all don't stop praying. PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED.
In a few months you will be feeling entirely different about your life, but you must take charge and help things to come to fruition.
Go for it.
My prayers of healing and help are with you.
HAVE FAITH.
Love and Blessings,

Karen, it is natural to feel like this ! I think we need to allow these negative feelings to come out until they are used up and defeated. We can't bury the truth of situations. However, we should take the steps to change them. Think of those with less, don't envy those with more, you never know what they may be going through . When you can pray. Ask for the strength and attitude to accept what you have and be thankful, since we can't alway change our circumstance , we can change our attitude. More isn't always better. Try to do as God asked us to. Suffer in His name, and soon you'll be thinking more positively. He loves you enough to help, if you let Him!
He can't do it if you turn away from Him.You and Karla are so special,He loves you both as His children! I know you'll get through this, and I'll keep you in prayer!
