Such an exciting time of the year! They are all winners in my book! Drive, stamina, discipline...they have it all. Love the flow of this piece and your excitement comes through beautifully~ Sheila |

Very inspiringly convyed indeed. Yes, often through others victories
and dreams we win too..because they often arrive or achieve their
success for all the world to acclaim and see. Yet, in our own
worlds, the victories and dreams we aspire to or achieve; while
not given worldly accord or fame, is no less a victory or success.
The worldly acclaimed athletes likewise, inspire and challenge us;
so there is always a dual win, seen or unseen. Great write!

Thnx sis for sharing this wonderful tribute to those who give their courage and stamina to win medals of gold, silver and bronze for their countries. I watched some of the Olympics, but being as tired and weak as I am, I haven't watched much.
Even though some of these athletes will not win any medals, they are all winners, for just getting there and showing what they are made of. To be in the Olympics is an honor, and for that, they are all winners.
Thnx for sharing, Karen. I rellay like this.
May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and all the athletes that are in the 2006 Winter and Summer Olympics, and be with you all, always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

It is great to see a poem from you, Karen, and this is the perfect tribute to the opening of the Winter Olympics. I am in awe of every one of the athletes who compete. I think we tend to be critical of them sometimes when perhaps they are not perfect...Heck, I would be hard pressed to do the activity, much less ever be competitive. "Let the games begin" and let us offer the praise that each athlete is due. Very nice write!! "GO U.S.A.!!"
