today there's a big smile upon my face,
it's all because i've been blessed by his grace!

went to a tiny pentecostal church with a friend,
and i really didn't want the service to end!!

i sang praises to my lord, our voices filled the air;
it wasn't long before we felt his presence there!

we heard the word, listened to the pastor speak;
our attentiveness to the lord, our hearts did seek!!

finally, alter call--prayers were soon heard,
and the lord's power was soon unfurled!

i went up for prayer, i want my family saved,
and a touch from the lord was what i craved!

the pastor prayed for me, i fell hard to the floor;
was slain by the spirit, but i wanted more!!

i lay there, shaking from my head to my feet,
and my body felt electrified, filled with heat!

i started laughing and crying, i was getting blessed,
and i know that the lord will get me through life's tests!

i also prayed for a financial miracle for karla and i--
came home, and found he'd delivered it from on high!

did our taxes, getting two big refunds, can go home to ohio--
go home to visit our family, and soon we'll surely go!!

it is because of the lord and his saving grace...
he is ALWAYS for us, no matter what we may face!
