a married couple get more than they expect when the wife goes into labor. (unbeknownst to them both, they are expecting twins.)
oh, dear..i can't stand this, this waiting, waiting...when will it ever end?
today is valentine's day, and i have valentine's day cards to send!
but nooo..i am stuck here at the hospital, sittin' in the maternity ward,
my wife is fixin' to deliver, and our oldest son complains that he is bored!
brought her in this morning; she is now in a doctor's care,
and if i should barge in, to see what's going on..i'd take that dare!
i want to be right by her, but i have an active toddler to keep track of...
and i'd much rather be at the side of my one and true love!
jubaki's growin' impatient, but then, so am i...
i am so bored and so tired, i could just die!
"hurry up", our son cries, tears upon his cheeks of brown,
"why won't th' baby come?" he cries, his small mouth turned in a frown.
"it takes time, just be patient", i tell jubaki, holding in my arms,
and hoping that somehow i could relieve his boredom by turning on my charm!
it's been over three hours, don't know a thing,
and am scared of what the next few minutes just might bring!
all of a sudden, like a burst of light, here comes the doctor, face all smiles;
and at the sight of him, my heart does pound all the while!
"congratulations!" he says, "you have twins; a boy and a girl!"
at the news, my vision fades, and my head starts to whirl!
"TWINS?" i gasp. "TWINS? IT CAN'T BE!"
"Yes," the doctor intones, "Twins! Your wife is fine; come and see!"
At my wife's bedside, I rush to her side;
And tears of joy, I don't even try to hide!
My lovely wife is sound asleep, worn out from her ordeal;
But the enormity of what has taken place seems like a dream, so surreal.
The doctor brings the babies to me and i can't think of a thing to say;
i sit there, speechless, and i immediately thank god as i begin to pray.
both healthy, our little new girl and boy;
born on valentine's day, and looking at them just fills my heart with joy!
eshe maria and kibarake miguel, two miracles from god,
from one child to three, and my mind is filled with hope, love, and awe!
so, happy valentine's day, my dear new babes;
our family is now complete, this happy, unforgettable valentine's day!
roberto miguel, m'buti ayala, and big brother, jubaki miguel, proudly announce the arrivals of their two newest valentine's day miracles:
*eshe maria ayala sormiento--8#, 6 oz., and 22" long, and
*kibarake miguel jose' sormiento--7#, 6 oz., and 21 1/2" long.
~HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KIBARAKE AND ESHE!~
