There's an image trapped in my mind
that Time cannot subdue
roaming the corridors of Memory
and in my nightly dreams too.
The ghost haunts me every day,
and I cry every time
I see the resurrected memories...
Can a preist exorcize my mind?
Exorcize your ghost from me
for you've died in my heart.
Ban your demons from my dreams...
can someone give me a fresh start?
Oh, can someone exorcize my mind?
Don't bother reading tea leaves
nor the lines etched in my hand.
Just whisper a blessing in my ear
and forever get rid of this man.
I don't know why his memory lingers.
We've both gone seperate ways.
But every evening in my nightmares,
our hellish life constantly replays.
Can someone please help me
make Memory's watchful eye go blind?
There's a ghost that needs to fade...
Can anyone exorcize my mind?

|The only way to exorcise an imbedded and bad memory of someone from the past Lori , is to find someone new in your Heart , the Right Person , who will exorcise the nightmares once and for all !!

|Lori...this is well done...there is anguish here with some frightening overtones...the composition and flow is good. As to the question you pose...my experience is that you cannot exorcize the memories...but you can find a place to lock them away...but it is only a temporary measure. They always find a way back...or out.|
