One month ago today,
my heart was torn in twain.
One half was lost to darkness
and the other has gone insane.
Trust! Trust? What's that?!
Tell me, I so implore.
It is but a wretched light
casting shadows on the floor.
Seven hundred twenty hours ago
I cried and cried in vain.
I lost my soul's bright smile
and was submerged in this new pain.
I know someone is right for me...
God, don't let my mistrust grow.
Don't let my heart's vision become skewed
by the pain inflicted 720 hours ago.

BRilliant way to put love and heartbreak into a perspective and you better not dare as you said in the last verse, let mistrust grow, love is too special and you are too special to give up on it, take a haitus if you must but never, never give up. if need be I will come there (Pops to the rescue) and kick your butt back into the world that awaits you. Big hug,
Felix |

I felt this write deeply and could empathise with the pain.
You are a very original writer who is able to share feelings perfectly with the reader.I hope this masterpiece is a work of fiction Lori but in case it's not I am sending a sincere warm sisterly hug (HUG)your way and I hope you can feel it.
720 hours is many and when they are hours of loss and pain they are unbearable and must feel infinite .Lori, your heart is too precious to be skewed by the vision of 720 hours ago, look toward the budding flowers where it may not hurt so much.
Love and best wishes always
from
your fan

We must not let one single person inflict so much pain on us, or distort our long range goals and objectives in life !
Sometimes we can try too hard in life, when being a little more laid back and casual can bring about the desired effect !
Stay strong and committed to the cause Lori, and don't let dark moods or trauma drag you down
