I watched the sun set today outside my window pane
wishing away this cold weather and snow, ice and rain...
In those flames of purple oranges, I thought there was more
But the light waned and cast moon graced shadows on the floor.
Sometimes when all seems at their end, another road does come
and directs our attention - shows us that there’s another way home.
Just because a bridge is lost beneath a foaming wave so cold
doesn’t mean there’s not something out there for us to take a hold
There’s always another way around - no need to live life blind
for to find our way through our lives, we must open up our eyes.
I will search for that road that’s yet to level down the grass
for no matter how rough the journey, I know that it shall pass.
So, I sat and stared at the sun as she slipped beyond my sight
and welcomed the cold winds as they herald in another night.

There is a new dawning and realisation registered here that suggests the author has found fresh impetus and patience, to accept things as they are, and await diligently the spark of new hope !

| I loved the atmosphere you created here, and the positive message though fighting against something. This would make a good start to a story. |

Right you are my young friend and this poem is truly a wise message to all of us who get lost now and then.

This time of year the light is different. I bask in its glow, and dread the moon cold night.
