I stand before this colorful place
spinning words to draw you in.
And,when I see that turn of your face
well...I can count myself a win.
I am the seller of dreams!
I am the soul inside that bottle...
I am a temptress with schemes!
No need to throw the white flag of battle.
Here...hold this dart in your hand.
Notice the sharp, metal tip.
Now...place $2 down upon this stand.
Take your time, careful not to slip.
A small explosion before your eyes.
A balloon shattered on that wall.
For one, split second, you imagine the prize...
Why Sir, you've won a small!!!

It is true that man's vanity or often his wish to impress has led the games in local fairs, bazarrs and carnivals in business for centruries. The hope of winning the big prize in the games is similiar to most people always looking for that on big score in life. Excellant write Lori...good to see you back on the board again.

Aw, shoot. Means I'll have to spend more money to upgrade my prize...you capture the gaming/gambling spirit of carnival games perfectly. :) Here's another two dollars...well done, Lori!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
Better step out of the way, though, I actually hit a carnie once. Aim was a bit off. LOL |
