mercy me, lady poet...just when I think I have seen your best, you reach down in your soul and come up with...this! Extraordinary is the only way I can describe this.

Great cultural emotion, Mitzi! These lines evoke something out of Elvis's In the Ghetto and the Pointer Sisters It's Raining Men - Hallelujah! This whole scene is so damn cinematic, right out of the series In The Heat of the Night, the geographical location of Bottoms (the ghettos) in the show. You got it REAL, girl...keep 'em coming...

I can't add much to what the others say, Mitzi, except to appreciate the wonderful way you are able to use our art to vent and inform, and reiterate take care of yourself. I saw the people in Philadelphia allowed to plant trees and flowers--hope you can do it there too...Jerry

Your raw emotions laid out to dry. No need to use &*%$ when you own the words. Got me where it hurts.

SO powerful, SO sad. . .and so well written. . .with such passion and courage. . .that I find it hard not to take pleasure. Firmly believe that if talented artists such as yourself keep insisting you be heard, you WILL be. Not only will more people pay attentioln, they
will change. HAVE TO h o p e, don't we? B e l i e v e.
Prejudice and the hate that keeps it burning have caused more damage than all the hurricanes, tornadoes, and tsunamis that have struck since homo sapiens emerged from the slime [many forgetting to wipe it
off?} Tell it, my friend. TELL IT !! xOx Pea xOx

Much anger, Mitzi, in effecting verse, along with a deep, lingering sadness...excellently penned.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

You got it right, Mitzi. No misbelieving what you wrote. Got my hackles up. Remember Tawana Brawley and Al Sharpton, she with poop all over her and Al backed her. The United Church of Christ back "him" on his BIG day in court when he got off. Didja see him on the interstate in St. Louis holding up traffic.

And the rain keeps falling on the truly rightious minorities.....
