Blank Verse

       Cry Bitter Tears

      *Roman Empire

      World Rulers for  Nine Hundred Years

      Supreme Militarily.

      Strong Sound Love of Country.

      Respected and Feared by Enemies.

      Excellent System of Law.

      Comprehensive Educational  Programs .

      Renowned Engineers and Builders.

      Citizenship Valued and Desired.

      Coinage accepted Universally.

     * Roman Empire   Extinguished

      Over Run by Hordes of Immigrants.

      Welfare State created for votes by Senators.

      Controlled by wealthy families.

      Debased currency.

      Law subverted and corrupted.

      Honor and justice mocked.

      Sexual depravity rampant.

      Loss of will to fight known enemies.

      Christians persecuted.

      Rotted from within.

     * Note

      Remove reference to Rome

      Change timing from nine hundred years

      To  two hundred and fifty years.

      Insert  United States in place Of Rome

      Retain Extinguished

      Raymond Morrow
